IBA CEO Rick Wajda will present a legislative update while Economist Robert J. Morgan will give an economic update of what is driving the U.S. Economy with an emphasis on the housing market. Lunch is provided.

Rick Wajda is the CEO for the Indiana Builders Association. As the IBA’s chief lobbyist, Rick works with members of the Indiana General Assembly and Indiana’s regulatory agencies to insure housing affordability is taken into consideration when policy makers craft laws and regulations for Indiana’s citizens. Rick is also the Chairman of the Association to Build a Better Indiana, IBA’s political action committee and serves as a spokesperson for the industry on housing related issues.

So You Want a Horse - Fundamentals driving the U.S. Economy w/ emphasis on the housing market
Prior to joining Probank Austin in 1990, Mr. Morgan served as a Senior Vice President and Chief Economist with a multi-billion-dollar regional bank. He has served in executive management capacities with banking organizations and managed investment, trust, budgeting, and financial forecasting functions. He is currently a Senior Consultant and works with clients on all aspects of asset/liability, interest rate risk management, balance sheet structuring, pricing strategies and product offerings. He has more than 50 years of experience within the banking industry. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and attended Wayne State University in Detroit working towards a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is past president of the Southern Council of Asset Management. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst certificate and is a graduate of the ICFA Institute at Princeton University.
