Pursuant to Mayor Henry’s order to close Citizens Square to the public from November 23, 2020, to January 18, 2021, the lobby of the Building Department will be closed. The Building Department staff will continue to process permits and complete inspections as we normally do. Permitting requirements will not change and contractors will be required to submit online for all permits.
Homeowner permits, Ag permits, and Log Cabin permits will be processed and accepted by mail.
Office staff will be available to answer the phone, but we expect high call volumes to continue through the lobby closure.
License holders can send renewals to the office on or after January 1, 2021. The Building Department is extending renewal dates until 4/1/2021 for all valid license holders due to the pandemic.

Inspector phone numbers listed in the link above will forward a transcript of voice messages directly to inspector email, which is checked throughout the workday. Permit and office staff will utilize email as correspondence to send and receive drawings, documents, other requirements for permit processing.
