We’ve made it to June, and somehow the calendar seems to be turning days over faster than I feel like it should. I hope the rain and muddy conditions haven’t hampered anyone too much, but I believe we are all ready for the dryer weather and summer to begin.
I’ll start by recapping our membership drive. Our goal for this May drive was to grow by 30 members. While we weren’t able to quite reach this goal, we did gain 12 new members during the drive. I do believe more contacts were made, and the true numbers from this drive will go up in the coming weeks. So while we didn’t reach the mountaintop for the May drive, we will continue to push forward to grow our membership. The year-end goal remains 400 members. If you know a business that could benefit, or maybe already benefits, from the work the Home Builder’s Association does, ask them to join. If you need resources, or another person to help in recruitment, reach out to myself, Beth, Lyndsi, or someone on the board. We know there are many companies in our area that would be great members. Let’s continue to move forward to reach that year end goal.
June brings with it our first golf outing for the year. We have had a great response from everyone signing up to sponsor the event, the lunch, beverages, golf holes etc. We are also at capacity for teams. Something new for this year will be a 50/50 raffle at the golf outing. Tickets will be available for those that attend. Please note the location has recently changed from Autumn Ridge Golf Course to Cherry Hill Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you there.
As the calendar turns, our E.O., Beth Johnson, will have been with us for a full year. Ask anyone on the board, or who is involved, and you will quickly find out how vital our E.O., Beth, and services director, Lyndsi, are to our organization. Beth jumped in with both feet, and has done a great job; not only with our local chapter, but she has quickly become someone with a strong voice at the state level. Thank you Beth and Lyndsi for all that you do.
If you haven’t met Beth or Lyndsi, please reach out and say hello. It’s easy to forget how much work is done behind the scenes to keep our association running. They can help you find a way to get involved through our events, sponsorship, committee involvement, and much more. We want to see our members enjoy the benefits of their membership. There is so much to offer, please feel free to ask, we are more than happy to help.
Best regards,
Tyler Kees
